Marriage can slowly become a series of responsibilities.
Work. Kids. Schedules. Laundry. Appointments. Bills. Practices. Groceries. Emails. Bedtime. Repeat.
You may still function well as a team-but somewhere between managing the household and getting through the week, you stopped feeling as much like partners, friends, and lovers.
Maybe you talk all day, but most of the conversation is logistical.
Maybe date nights became rare.
Maybe affection and playfulness aren't what they used to be.
Maybe there isn't one major problem you can point to. You're simply not as connected as you used to be.
And the longer a marriage operates on autopilot, the easier it becomes to accept disconnection as normal.
It doesn't have to stay that way.
